You can use this app to identify yourself until December 31, 2024. From January 1, you can only do this in the SNS Shop. You can find an SNS Shop near you at snsbank.nl/winkel.
Mobile Identification works like this:
1. Use the camera on your phone to scan a code in your ID.
2. The NFC chip on your phone makes contact with the chip in your ID.
3. You scan your face. The app compares your face with the photo in your ID.
What do you need?
You need a valid Dutch travel document (passport or identity card) with an invisible chip. You can recognize it by the logo on the front. You also need a mobile phone with an NFC chip. That chip is in most phones.
